Responsibilities
Support the Chief Data Scientist with all aspects of theData Science Workflow.
§ Business Understanding
oLiaise withSubject Matter Experts for business understanding and problem definitions
oIdentifyand define business problems and client objectives
oWork withManagement and Clients to prioritize business and information needs
§ Data Acquisition and Understanding
oAcquiredata from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
oWork withclients and internal departments to create data collection, storage and data integrityguidelines.
oDevelop andimplement databases, data collection systems, and data analytics to optimizestatistical efficiency and quality
oValidate andmaintain data sources and data integrity
oClean andMunge data as required
oPerformExploratory Data Analysis as required
oInterpretdata and analyse results using statistical and other techniques
oIdentify,analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
oCreateVisualizations to investigate and report data findings
oReview dataand findings for consistency, validity and correctness
§ Modelling
oDevelopModels to generate value for clients and the company; these include MachineLearning, Simulation, Scenario, Reinforcement Learning and Statistical models
§ Deployment
oMakerecommendations to add value, based on findings
oGenerateeasy-to-interpret reports based on collected data.
oCreateinformative, actionable and repeatable reporting
oConductinsightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time problems
oCreateproducts to communicate useful insights to clients and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Ideal candidateshould have a degree in a quantitative field : mathematics, computer science,physics, economics, engineering, statistics, operations research, quantitativesocial science, etc.).

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college incomputer science.
- ·
Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
- ·
Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
- ·
Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and providesoftware solution recommendations.
- ·
Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical,lay terms.
- ·
High-level experience in methodologies and processes formanaging large-scale databases.
- ·
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets andrelational databases.
Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
- ·
High-level written and verbal communication skills
